Flutist Melanie Bradford came to New York with a BA degree from Wheaton College (MA). Studying with John Wummer she received a MM degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She was accepted into the National Orchestral Association and continued studies with Tom Nyfenger and Andrew Lolya. Since 1985 Melanie has been principal flutist with the Little Orchestra Society and is featured in the CD "Peter and the Wolf" (Musicmasters). Also a member of the Aviva Players and the NY Gilbert and Sullivan Players, Melanie played flutes with the Broadway production of AIDA. She joined the Linden Woodwind Quintet in 1981.
